NetEase and Bluehole signed an agreement to publish TERA in China

Chinese multimedia news Sina Gaming Channel reported that the MMORPG TERA developer Bluehole and Netease have reached an agreement to exclusively distribute TERA in mainland China.

The source said that the Chinese version of TERA is being localized and, players are able to expect the first closed beta testing this year at the earliest date.

China-based Netease confirmed the negotiation on the distribution of TERA Online in China, but the detailed agreement between the two companies have not been disclosed by Netease.

So far as we know, TERA got a great success in Korea since its launch and a handful of publishers poised to take the exclusive license of publishing TERA in China and beyond. But Bluehole said, we are pleased to cooperate with Netease for Netease is one of the best online game operators in China. With much experience to operate MMOs such as World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2, Netease is capable of doing business in this field.

Meanwhile, NetEase said:”TERA is a big MMO production that we are always seeking to produce. More specifically, TERA is a prominent combat action MMORPG game, which we have not yet developed. to some extent, Tera is just to fill the vacancies in our action online games category. ”

NetEase official spokesman also said, TERA’s localization is under way and we will present this game to our Ministry of Culture and relevant state departments for review.
