Noriyuki Iwadare returns to compose Langrisser Schwarz – The latest entry of the classic Langrisser RPG series that celebrates its 20th anniversary

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Langrisser with the music of Langrisser Schwarz and relive the glory days once again! Gamania announced today that Noriyuki Iwadare, famed Japanese videogame music producer and composer of the classic console tactical RPG series Langrisser, will return to once again compose for Langrisser Schwarz, the series’ latest installment. This is the first time the series enters MMO territory. The tactical gameplay that made the franchise so popular in the first place will be retained in this RPG title developed by Gamania. Mr. Iwadare has also produced the theme song for the game, which was performed by Gero, a popular online singer on the Japanese video sharing website NicoNico, at last year’s Tokyo Game Show, attracting large crowds of fans.

As a renowned videogame composer in Japan, Noriyuki Iwadare has supervised music for the entire Langrisser. Popular Online Singer Gero will perform the main theme song “Light and Shadow”

During last year’s Tokyo Game Show, Gamania asked Mr. Iwadare to produce the main theme song “Light and Shadow” for the game, and invited a famous online singer “Gero” from the popular Japanese multimedia website NicoNico to perform the song live on Gamania’s booth stage. As soon as the news that Gero was going to perform live on stage got out, Gamania received many inquiries for the event, and on the day of the performance thousands of fans crowded the venue, fighting for the best positions to see their idol. When Gero entered the stage, the excited cheers from the crowds were deafening.

Gero was also interviewed for the momentous occasion of Langrisser’s 20th anniversary: “I was honored to be invited by Gamania to perform “Light and Shadow”, the theme song from Langrisser Schwarz, live on stage at last year’s Tokyo Game Show.
