Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg paid a visit to Chinese Baidu’s Boss Li YanHong, talking amicably with each other through 2 hours on Monday, according to the person familiar with Baidu company, the Chinese largest search engine, triggering rumors that Facebook and Baidu would agree to conduct business tegother in China .
As a matter of fact, Facebook was recruiting a General Manager in China responsible for Facebook’s social game office in Beijing earlier in April 2010. So Facebook’s real goal is not just to pay a friendly visit to Baidu, but to pave a way for future development of its Chinese Facebook Office. After all, Facebook is aiming high at Chinese online game market.
However, if Facebook is really preparing to enter the Chinese social networking or online game market, it will have to consider to accept Chinese censorship and relevant regulations, as well as its would-be rivals such as Kaixin001, RenRen and Tencent.
Google left China, but Google’s nemesis is now heading!
